CORE365 rates its insulated outerwear on a UTK scale. UTK 1 is for mild to cool weather. The Profile fleece-lined all-season jacket is rated for roughly 36°F down to 0°F, and the Prevail packable puffer vest is also UTK 1. UTK 2 covers moderately cold conditions, which includes the Prevail packable puffer jacket. UTK 3 is built for extreme cold. Use the rating to match the jacket to where your team actually works, rather than choosing the thickest option by default.
Water-resistant vs. waterproof
Most pieces in this range are water-resistant, which means they shed light rain and snow. The Barrier all-season jacket goes further: its seams are sealed with fused taping, and it has a fleece-lined body and hood. The Techno Lite three-layer tech shell uses fabric with an 8,000 mm waterproof rating and Windsmart wind-blocking construction. A water-resistant vest is not rain gear. If your crew works in steady rain, choose a seam-sealed jacket.
Vests for layering programs
Vests are the most versatile uniform layer because they fit over a polo in the morning and pack away by noon. The range covers the Journey fleece vest (7.7 oz. anti-pill fleece with a fleece chin guard), the Cruise two-layer soft shell vest (polyester/spandex bonded to fleece, with stretch), the Prevail packable puffer vest, the Techno Lite unlined vest with reflective piping, and the Techno Lite flat-fill insulated vest for real warmth without a puffer look. Several of these come in men's, women's and tall, so a mixed team can wear the same piece.
Decorating outerwear
Fleece and soft shell take embroidery well, and a left-chest logo on a vest or soft shell is the most common choice for corporate outerwear. Insulated puffers are different. Needle holes through a quilted shell can let fill work its way out, so on puffers we usually recommend a heat transfer or placing the logo on a flat, uninsulated panel. We will confirm the best method and placement on your proof before anything is produced.
Ordering
Sizes run S to 3XL on nearly every style, with XS, 4XL, 5XL and tall sizes on many. Minimums vary by style and decoration method, and every order gets a free digital proof. To finish a cold-weather kit, pair outerwear with a performance quarter-zip underneath and a fleece beanie. For lighter layers, see hooded jackets.
